Oddly, I just saw a feed post from data4progress_feed that turned '@' + 'SeanMcElwee' in the source post into seanmcelwee in the DW feed version.
ETA: and it looks like the Dreamwidth conversion of an @ in front of a word = username association is so strong that trying to put the whole source string in a textarea box here is displaying aas !
