I've just received an email accepting my proposal for the 2011 linux.conf.au, which makes me happy beyond belief -- I had a blast last year, and I was really hoping I'd get the proposal accepted this year so I could attend again.

I'll be presenting a short tutorial session (1 hour and 45 minutes) entitled "Beyond Alt Text: Web Accessibility for the 21st Century". Super special thanks go to the dw_accessibility team, without whom I wouldn't know half of what I know!

BTW, there's only two nonstops from LAX to BNE -- none from SFO -- on V Australia, which is the Virgin brand, and Qantas. Beware that V Australia's seats are narrower, but are likely to have more fun in-flight entertainment. Your other options are connecting through Sydney.

I was actually thinking of connecting through SFO and AKL on Air New Zealand, since their seats were awesome and they're Star Alliance, which is where my miles are with.
