When you get two copies of the same comment from someone you know, this is likely (uh, whatever that thing is that we know about that does it, with the servers and all) and not your friend spamming you. Reporting this as spam should not affect your friend if you did it accidentally, because spam reports are reviewed by humans, but does give the team extra unnecessary work.
I keep hearing about this skywardprodigal person who died incredibly suddenly. Unfortunately I'm too new to DW to have known her, but many seemed to and are sad about the event.
