Antispam reminds you that spam is spam, and that really annoying person who is griefing you is probably not actually a spammer. Also, while a CAPTCHA is accessibility-unfriendly, if you're getting a ton of hostile anonymous comments, this might be the time to turn on CAPTCHAs for anonymous commenters or even turn off anonymous comments until they get bored.
