Brilliant idea! And a good breakdown, so that those not familiar with the Arduino can get the hang of it.

yeah, that made me giggle with glee last night. :D :D
I'm way too lazy to make one though.

I saw that yesterday, and was much amused by it. It's a pity, though, that it only goes to a 10-stitch pattern repeat! I'm currently making the Hex shawl from Knitty, which has a 10-stitch start and end, 6 x 22-stitch repeats and one 15-stitch part; and their Sunday Swing socks, which are a 32-stitch repeat...

I am amused that this is a [staff profile] denise post rather than a [personal profile] synecdochic post. (But also, that's really cool! Though it'd be even cooler if it could read your progress, perhaps via special knitting needles, and display the appropriate row/stitch/whathaveyou.)

I saw that! And then I said, I kid you not, "I bet I know half a dozen people on Dreamwidth who are going to make that."

This Arduino thing is haunting me.

And I still don't get how this stuff even works. %| I tried reading the first few paragraphs, but gave up quickly ... (Then again, I'm not into knitting either, so I understand even less. |D)
But I guess it could be useful for some people?
