graphic artist?

Anybody a graphic artist, or really good with small graphics? We want a 16x16 icon for official DW communities based on the little menu swirly thing in Tropospherical Red, for bug 1701, but I'm having some trouble getting a graphic that looks good.

Got something that I at least like well enough to show to Mark so he can say no to ;)

I like the final one here. However, I remember an earlier discussion said that it's helpful to have a visibly different shape, for accessibility reasons. Does that mean the favicon is better? I do prefer this one, though, because it makes sense, by analogy with the official staff icons.

Yeah, like cesy suggests, I'm not so much looking for "DW swirl wrapped around comm icon" (because that's not enough of a visual distinction for low-vision/colorblind users) -- more like the actual menu swirl itself, without the globe, like thus:



But that version is too small, and when you inflate it it gets blocky and really line-y.

Rho suggested using the favicon, which might work ...

do you want it cropped off at the bottom like that, or is that just what fit for the smaller size?

not cropped, blank space at bottom (because the uncropped swirl is 15 tall) , at top , and cropped with a blank line at top and bottom
