It's August, so it's back to being my turn to write updates (Mark and I decided we were going to switch off by month). Who's got stuff for it?

So I remember:

* new homepage (since we forgot to mention that last time)
* dw_wiki
* we now have promo codes, so if you're going to an event/conference/etc and want to hand out DW invites, let us know and we'll make one for you
* code tour? if I get a chance to do one

Of the 6 (?!) spam reports made in the past week, 3 were genuine, and three were someone deleting reviews to their fic made by assorted OpenID users and marking them as spam. (Same reporter.)

In that case, I whistle appreciatively in respect to just how well the site's spammer-blocking facilities work. Until the changes were made a week or two ago, I was reporting several myself weekly. Accordingly, I would hazard a guess that 3 genuine spam in the past week is probably a decrease of between 99% and 99.99% from before the changes were made. *salutes exor674*
