Guess who just got off the phone with Laura Sydell of NPR arranging an in-studio interview on advertising on social media?

Go on, guess. Three guesses. First two don't count.

They have been forwarding me e-mails from other members of the family which recapitulate the Facebook posts I had the day before. It is AWESOME. I feel double-plus-connected now.

Spoken like a woman who has cleverly decided NOT to be my friend on Facebook.

I don't know why you don't want to hear all about Uncle Chip's trip to the Maker Fair, or Cousin Phil's drinking habit college reunion.

Do you want me to be your friend on Facebook? It gives me hives.

No, dear heart, you're my friend in actual life, which is here. Facebook is a delightful way to circulate baby photos, which is what I'm using it for (I don't know why the extended family has settled on Facebook and not Flickr for this purpose, because the photo resolution on Facebook sucks, but so it is. Ah, well.) I am, in fact, giving you a hard time for recreational purposes.
