Advantage to owning the site: when your comment notifications (both email and inbox) break, you can nag [staff profile] mark to fix it.

Which reminds me:

a). [staff profile] mark, it's still not working.

b). Leaving me a comment in one of my entries is not going to catch my attention until a). is resolved.

We seem to have fixed it. SOMEHOW. (Found a bug in the process, though.)

Hm......Usually it only extends to the Weather and Awesome New Journal sites.....Magic Ball says "future is uncertain, try again in 12 hours"

Good luck getting one! I'm going for a paid but can't really justify the seed account cost right now so that's one less person competing with you. :D
