(But um. In my settings, email notifications for comments to my posts remains checked no matter how many times I uncheck it and "successfully" save. I do not understand.)

(I can't remember where but I think I've read that you can't turn off email notifications alone (at the moment?). You have to turn off inbox notifications, too.)

You can't currently have email notifications without having them come into the inbox as well. This is inherent in the system, and the planned fix is to be able to set certain messages to go straight from inbox to trash.

But it looks like [personal profile] brenna's problem is something different.
