Summer of Code: we've had 10 people or so contact us so far. Everybody interested should read http://dw-dev.dreamwidth.org/42626.html to learn more about SoC as it relates to Dreamwidth.
Payment system is coming along well. I'm not sure how much is worth saying, but Dreamwidth will be the site handling the incoming credit card information. We then forward it via an encrypted SSL connection to the remote payment processor. It's never stored on our servers. But eh, not sure if you want to go into that.
Oh yeah, I mentioned in suggestions that we might want to promote to news the @user Twitter-style of addressing to see if we can get more feedback on the idea to see what people who don't read the weekly updates think.

Holy moly, I saw you mention that place before, but for some reason I thought it was a different community that had closed posting and whatnot and never went and saw it was something different. ::joins::
Late addendum: THREE posts have been made to dreamwidthlayouts this week. That's really gratifying from a styles perspective and it'd be awesome to highlight that and point it out as a place you can share styles that don't need to go through the whole official dreamscapes rigmarole.
