Yes, it does. I had never heard of it, and to be honest I haven't found him very easy to live with (he's been occupying my spare room for just over two years). Knowing that it is an illness makes it a lot easier to make allowances for him... though I still need him to be a bit quieter when he's up at night, since I work regular hours and therefore get very tired if he disturbs my sleep.
