suncat posted about a
LibraryThing widget, and I know there are Last.fm, Twitter and Delicious widgets that people can add to their blogs, etc. I've been thinking about doing S2 modules for them all, where all someone has to do to configure them is provide their username (and password if necessary, etc), if they want to enable them for their journal; can anyone think of other services/sites/etc that would be interesting to have?

The Goodreads widget would be amazing to have (not to mention it has a bit of an issue with being on the profile (mine would be a prime example of this--I'm so far behind on learning code that I haven't even bothered to edit it to see if I can straiten it out).
Netflix would be an interesting one as well, if it's possible. I know that it runs primarily of the RSS information to work (though beyond that, I'm not really sure. I'm not sure if they even have an official widget).
For that matter, being able to add an RSS feed at all would be useful, as it would allow for a more visual linking to a secondary blog or similar RSS powered feed.

This, pretty much. I write stuff elsewhere fairly regularly, the ability to add a few feeds to the sidebar would be very nice.
And extra text boxes would be nice, fitting all into one, or hacking S2 layers, seems a bit OTT, got used to adding extras for client WP/Blogger setups.

I like the way that's got lots of options for implementation in it; hacking in from a Syn account would work fairly well; if we're doing that, couldn't it take from any account? Then people with icon journals or similar could have a 'recent posts' thing.
Or even work it along similar lines to the 'recent activity' module for paid users?

Ravelry has widgets, but they're currently rather Beta and hackey and somewhat Wordpress/Blogger specific. I have one in use on the WP blog I never actually use, but keep as an excuse to fiddle with code.
Something pretty and S2 integratable would be so very win.
http://www.ravelry.com/wiki/pages/BlogWidgets has some info, but I suspect you have to be a member to see it, like every other Ravelry page. :D

A DeviantArt widget might be cool: I doubt I'd use it, but I bet some people would.
(And I agree on AO3 - either a your recently uploaded or a your recently bookmarked.)
(Actually a recent bookmarks on del.icio.us-type sites would be cool...)

Uh, pretty much the ones you mentioned are the ones I'd use, plus the ability to aggregate RSS, so other then that, I am full of no ideas! ...Maybe Mibbit if you wanted to embed a IRC chatroom somewhere?
