Code push tomorrow

There will be a code push tomorrow; watch dw_maintenance for details, and the offsite status page for any difficulties.

Our last code push was 7/26. In those three weeks, we've done an incredible amount of development (nearly all of which has been done by our community developers, who are doing an amazing job), so a lot of things are going to be changing (or be added!) tomorrow night.

This is so exciting. Gmail threading, paid account fairy, new layouts, all the little bugfixes and code tidying, PM CC-ing, order of filters, headers for post-by-email, manage circle overhaul, importing crossposted entries, link from manage communities to manage tags - there are so many awesome things.

What makes me even more excited is that we did all of this in three weeks. Every time I start wondering if we're doing enough or progressing fast enough, I just go look back at changelog_digest and remind myself that our development speed is set to permanent fast-forward.

True. I got used to the weekly code pushes just before Open Beta, but even this is a very rapid pace of development, and fortnightly code pushes are brilliant. There are so many new features getting added all the time. I am really looking forward to the point when we've got reading filters and cross-site friends reading, and I can say to my friends on LJ, "Look, DW has everything LJ has and more. Come and join us." And I do love seeing something happening every day on Bugzilla.
